JENIS-JENIS KARANG KERAS (Scleractinia) DI PANTAI JERANGKAT KEPULAUAN BANGKA BARAT DAN SUMBANGANNYA PADA PEMBELAJARAN BIOLOGI SMA
This study aims to determine the types of hard corals in Jerangkat Beach, West Bangka. This research was conducted at Jerangkat Beach and the FKIP UNSRI Biology Education Laboratory in October-November 2022. This research used a descriptive method to describe the types of hard corals by taking samples using the UPT method and direct observation with 4 coral sampling points. Water parameters measured include temperature, pH, DO, and salinity. Based on the results of research that has been carried out, it was found that the types of corals belong to 12 families, 24 genera, and 43 species where the 12 families include families Acroporidae, Agaricidae, Euphylliidae, Favidae, Fungidae, Lobophylliidae, Merulinidae, Mussidae, Plerogyridae, Pocilloporidae, Poritidae, and Pssamocoridae. While the 24 genera include Acropora, Alveopora, Astreopora, Montipora, Pavona, Pachyseris, Leptoseris, Galaxea, Euphyllia, Favia, Cyphastrea, Oulophyllia, Fungia, Polyphyllia, Symphyllia, Goniastrea, Hydnopora, Merulina, Blastomussa, Nemenzophyllia, Seriatopora, Goniopora, Porites, and Psammocora. It can be concluded that the most common species found came from the Favia genus with as many as 7 species. It is hoped that the results of this study can be used as a learning resource for class X high school students in Biology learning with Basic Competency (BC) 3.2 Analyzing various levels of biodiversity in Indonesia and its threats and conservation.
