PENGARUH PERLAKUAN PANAS QUENCHING PADA VARIASI LARUTAN OLI TERHADAP LAJU KOROSI PADA MATERIAL BAJA ST 37
This research is an experimental research with the aim of knowing the effect of quenching heat treatment on inorganic rust retardants from various oil solutions on the corrosion rate of ST 37 steel material housed in the Mechanical Engineering Education Study Program Laboratory, Teaching and Education Faculty, Sriwijaya University. The study was conducted by testing specimens in corrosive sulfuric acid 4:1 medium for 12 days as many as 7 specimens. The results showed that specimen 7 which did not receive treatment experienced a faster corrosion rate than other specimens of 0.7119, while specimen 5 of new diesel oil, which tended to be thicker than other oils, experienced a slower corrosion rate than other specimens of 0.7098. So, the thicker the level of inorganic rust retardant is given, the lower the corrosion rate will be.
