PENGARUH PARAMETER PEMOTONGAN PADA PROSES PENGULIRAN TERHADAP GEOMETRI ULIR BAJA ST 37
This study aims to determine the effect of cutting parameters on screw geometry in the turning process. Data was collected using descriptive analysis techniques. The results showed that the difference in the size of the screw height which was not too significant was at a rotational speed of 100 rpm and a depth of cut of 0.2 mm with a difference of 110.38 µm, while the screw section with a speed of 80 rpm and a depth of cut of 0.2 mm had a difference in screw height. which has a large value of 207 µm. For the smallest average of screw height errors, namely at a rotational speed of 80 rpm and a depth of cut of 0.2 mm, that is 109.10 µm. Whereas the smallest screw pitch error of 48.3 µm is found at a depth of cut of 0.5 mm and a spindle speed of 100 rpm, and for the largest screw pitch error of 138 µm is found at a depth of cut of 0.2 mm with a spindle speed of 100 rpm. The smallest average pitch error is at a spindle speed of 80 rpm and a depth of cut of 0.2 mm, with an average of 1618.05 µm. Thus it can be seen that there is an influence of cutting parameters on the screw geometry of st 37 steel.
