ANALISIS STRUKTUR ARGUMENTASI MATEMATIKA SISWA KELAS IX PADA PEMBUKTIAN KEKONGRUENAN SEGITIGA
The idea in Principles and Standards for School Mathematics by NCTM states that mathematical proof skills require students to be able to develop and evaluate mathematical arguments and proofs, which is a way of expressing various kinds of reasons and justifications, so that students will see that mathematics makes sense. This study aims to analyze the argumentation structure of class IX students towards proving triangular congruence. This research is descriptive research. The data collection technique used by the researcher was a written test. The researcher analyzed the students' arguments using the Toulmin Argumentation Pattern and furthermore the correctness of analyzing the arguments by reviewing the statement columns on the two column proof proof strategy. The subjects of this research were 30 students of class IX junior high school. The results showed that in proving the congruence of triangles using the two-column proof strategy, class IX students at SMP Negeri 26 Palembang were able to generate three components of argumentation, namely Claims, Data and Warrants. The average argumentation structure that appears is (Data - Warrant - Data - Claim).
