PENGARUH VARIASI KONSENTRASI EKSTRAK DAUN MANGGA MANGIFERA FOETIDA SEBAGAI GREEN CORROSION INHIBITOR TERHADAP LAJU KOROSI PADA BAJA A36 DALAM LINGKUNGAN NATRIUM KLORIDA (NaCl)
Corrosion is material damage due to electrochemical reactions between the material and its environment. This study used medium carbon steel A36 as a test specimen, mango Mangifera foetida leaves as an inhibitor, and 25% NaCl solution as a corrosive medium. Quenching heat treatment is used to apply inhibitors to the test specimens. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of varying concentrations of mango mangifera foetida leaf extract as a green corrosion inhibitor on the corrosion rate of A36steel. The method used in this study is a pure experimental method with the results obtained that variations in the concentration of mango leaf extract greatly influence the corrosion rate of A36 steel up to 0.0013 mpy. The conclusion is that the presence of inhibitors with varied concentrations is very influential in inhibiting the corrosion rate of the test specimens.
