PENERAPAN PENDEKATAN OPEN ENDED DALAM PEMBELAJARAN MATERI DIMENSI TIGA DI KELAS XII UNTUK MELIHAT NILAI KARAKTER SISWA
Character value is one of the most important issues in learning mathematics today. It is time for the application of character values in mathematics learning to receive special attention from mathematics teachers through classroom learning. The Open Ended approach is one of the solutions for developing student’s character values in learning mathematics. This study aimed to describe the character values of students in learning three-dimensional material in class XII with the application of the Open Ended approach. The character values which were the focus of this research were the character values of hard work, curiosity, and creativity. The research subjects were students of class XII IPA 1 at SMAN 1 Indralaya Utara. Data were collected through tests, observations, and interviews, then analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The results showed that the character values that appear most frequently in three-dimensional material learning using the Open Ended approach were hard work and curiosity, while the character values that rarely appear were creative character values.
