Youth unemployment is one of the complex problems in Indonesia's employment sector, especially on Sumatra Island. Spatially, youth unemployment can affect various regions or be concentrated in one area. Therefore, this study aimed to analyze the influence of the factors that influence youth unemployment on Sumatra Island. The data used is secondary data with a research period of six years, from 2015 to 2020. The data analysis technique used multiple linear regression using the Ordinary Least Square (OLS) method. The results of the study showed that: (1) education has a positive and insignificant effect on youth unemployment on the island of Sumatra; (2) the provincial minimum wage has a negative and significant effect on youth unemployment on the island of Sumatra; and (c) the rate of economic growth has a negative and significant impact on youth unemployment on the island of Sumatra.
