Motivation is very important for student learning success, one of which is in learning English because English is a foreign language in Indonesia. The Covid- 19 pandemic resulted in many changes in the environment, including in the field of education. During the pandemic, students had to use the internet to study so that students could not interact directly with other students and lecturers, and this was called online learning. in this study examined the extent of the motivation of the members of PMKRI Palembang year 2021. descriptive qualitative research was used in this study, a questionnaire consisting of intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation, and interviews were used to collect the data. there were 30 students participating in this research. The result of this study found that students' motivation in learning English online is not high but not low either. the students also expressed their experiences while learning English online such as being able to study anywhere so that it is effective in terms of time, being able to repeat material that the lecturer has conveyed, were a lot of distractions, lack of interest, feeling bored and sleepy, poor teaching method, lazy, influenced by classmates; misbehavior, unmotivated, and other reasons.
