The study is a quantitative descriptive study that aims to determine the effect of employee placement on the employee performance at the Ogan Ilir District Attorney’s Office. The variables in this study are employee placement as the independent variable and employee performance as the dependent variable. The population in this study were all employees of the Ogan Ilir District Attorney’s Office, totaling 35 people, the sample was taken using a satured sampling technique.The data used is primary data obtained through the distribution of questionnaires to employees. The data analysis technique uses the simple linear regression analysis method. The results of the study were that employee placement had a positive and significant effect on employee performance at the Ogan Ilir District Attorney’s Office. With this research, it is expected to apply the placement process accordance with the principle of placing the right man on the right place and make a competency assessment program on a regular basis to see the consistency of employee knowledge and skills through education and training that will affect the achievement of the objectives of the Ogan Ilir District Attorney’s Office.
