This study aims to determine the effect of work stress on the performance of inpatient nurses at Siti Fatimah Hospital, South Sumatra Province. The population in this study were all inpatient nurses at Siti Fatimah Hospital in South Sumatra Province, totaling 80 people. Samples were taken using census techniques. This study uses primary data obtained through questionnaires and simple linear regression analysis method as a data analysis technique. Based on the results of the analysis it was concluded that there was a positive and significant influence between work stress on the performance of inpatient nurses at Siti Fatimah Hospital, South Sumatra Province. Therefore, hospital management should be able to better manage the workload and work stress of employees, especially nurses. Thus, existing levels of work stress can improve nurse performance. In turn, this will improve the overall performance of the Siti Fatimah Hospital in South Sumatra Province.
