HUBUNGAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR DENGAN INDEKS PRESTASI PADA MAHASISWA PROGRAM STUDI PENDIDIKAN DOKTER UNIVERSITAS SRIWIJAYA YANG TINGGAL BERSAMA ORANG TUA
Academic achievement is a measure of how successfully students meet their academic needs in campus life, improve student self-esteem, and influence individual satisfaction with their major after graduation. One of the students' good academic performance is due to motivation. Motivation is something that influences the basis of the actions performed by a person. Motivation comes because of self-awareness, so a person is able to determine the size of the effort needed to get things done. Motivation is very important in the process of learning activities. The existence of motivation will encourage enthusiasm for learning and vice versa, lack of motivation can reduce the enthusiasm for learning. This study aims to analyze the relationship between learning motivation and academic achievement in students of the medical education study program at the Faculty of Medicine, Sriwijaya University who live with their parents.This type of research is observational analytics with a cross sectional approach. The sample in this study was students of the medical education study program at Sriwijaya University batch 2019-2021 who lived with their parents. Sampling using total sampling techniques. In this study, there were 180 respondents who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The results of this study showed that there was a significant relationship between learning motivation and semester achievement index with a very weak correlation (p= 0.027, r= 0.165). Then there is also a significant relationship between learning motivation and grade point average with a very weak correlation (p= 0.038, r= 0.55). Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship with a very weak correlation between learning motavasi and academic achievement in students of the Sriwijaya University medical education study program who live with their parents.
