GAMBARAN PENGETAHUAN, SIKAP, DAN PERILAKU KARYAWAN PT PP LONDON SUMATRA INDONESIA TBK CABANG PALEMBANG TERHADAP PENYAKIT STROKE
Background: Stroke is a health problem that must be noticed and understood by the whole community considering the high mortality and disability rates among working-age adults caused by this disease. Limited public knowledge about stroke will result in no/lack of prevention efforts and can lead to delays in treating stroke. This study aims to describe the knowledge, attitudes, and behavior of employees of PT. PP London Sumatra Indonesia Tbk. Palembang Branch about stroke disease. Methods: This research is a descriptive study with a cross-sectional approach. The data used is primary data from the results of filling out online questionnaires addressed to 48 employees of PT. PP London Sumatra Indonesia Tbk. Palembang Branch as the research sample. Results: The most age group is 25─34 years (33.3%) and 45─54 years (33.3%), with almost the same proportion between men (52.1%) and women (47.9%), and the majority of respondents had a D1-D3/PT level of education (87.5%). Almost half of the respondents got information about stroke from family and friends (47.9%). The results of measuring variables: knowledge, attitudes, and behavior of employees about stroke disease show that 35 respondents (72.9%) have poor knowledge, 38 respondents (79.2%) have a good attitude, and 29 respondents (60.4%) have poor behavior. Conclusions: Most of the employees of PT. PP London Sumatra Indonesia Tbk. Palembang Branch have poor knowledge, a good attitude, and poor behavior of stroke.
