Stroke is a medical condition that causes neurological deficits associated with focal injury of the central nervous system (CNS) due to vascular causes such as cerebral infarction, intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH), subarachnoid hemorrhage. This study aims to determine the clinical characteristics of stroke patients undergoing an acute phase medical rehabilitation program at Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang. This study uses an observational descriptive research design. The population of this study were stroke patients who undergoing an acute phase medical. rehabilitation program at RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang. Data were obtained through medical records and were analyzed using the Excel and SPSS programs. The variables of this study consisted of gender, age, work history, type of stroke, clinical manifestations of stroke, type of rehabilitation program, underlying vascular disease, time to start rehabilitation, duration from stroke to hospital admission, muscle strength, improvement in muscle strength.
