KARAKTERISTIK PASIEN TUMOR GANAS KELOPAK MATA DI RSUP DR. MOHAMMAD HOESIN PALEMBANG TAHUN 2019-2021
Background. Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is a term for group of disorders of the heart and blood vessels. Age has an important role in the cardiovascular system, because the elderly population is more susceptible to cardiovascular disease. Currently, there is still no data abou the pattern of cardiovascular disease in the elderly. This study aims to determine the pattern of cardiovascular disease in elderly patients at Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Hospital Palembang. Methods. This research is an observational descriptive study with a cross-sectional approach. The sample in this study was 144 samples taken according to the calculation of the sample size and met the inclusion criteria. Data collection was carried out by collecting medical record data and primary data in the form of questionnaires to complete medical record data according to the required variables. Results. This study found that most of the elderly had 1 type of CVD (60.4%), with coronary heart disease (56.1%) being the highest disease. The highest incidence of cardiovascular disease was in the age group of 60-69 years (66.7%), male sex (60.4%), blue collar (54.2%), high school education (55.6%), treated in inpatient (68.1%), risk factors for hypertension and dyslipidemia (20.8%), had comorbid of diabetes mellitus (34.3%), antiplatelet therapy (19.8%), and angioplasty interventions (25, 9%). Conclusions. Patterns of cardiovascular disease in the elderly at Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Hospital Palembang is dominated by coronary heart disease, with the most common risk factors are hypertension and dyslipidemia and diabetes mellitus as the comorbidity.
