This research discusses "Community Participation in Participating in the Family Planning Program in Lumptan II Village, Sekayu District, Musi Banyuasin Regency". The aims of this study were (1) to determine the factors behind community participation in participating in the family planning program in Lumpatan II Village, Sekayu District, Musi Banyuasin Regency. (2) To understand the inhibiting factors for community participation in participating in the Family Planning Program in Lumpatan II Village, Sekayu District, Musi Banyuasin Regency. This study uses a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach. Data was collected by using observation, interview and documentation techniques. Informant retrieval using purposive technique. Data validity uses source triangulation. The data analysis technique uses data condensation, data presentation stage and verification/conclusion stage. The results of the study, it can be concluded that: First, the factors behind the Lumpatan II Village community in participating in the Family Planning Program come from internal factors consisting of first, the social conditions of the community consisting of age, gender, family dependents, education level, and length of stay. Second, the economy which consists of the type of work and the amount of income. The three changes in attitude and behavior consist of the intensity of presence and information. External Factors consisting of First, Intensity of Socialization, Second, namely Stimulus from the Government. The inhibiting factor is due to health factors owned by the acceptor recipient mother and Other Complaints Factors such as drastic weight gain and feeling that the body is not fit when the use of family planning becomes an obstacle in participating in the family planning program.
