This research aims to determine Japan's ODA (Official Development Assistant) policy on the construction of the Jakarta MRT in the master plan of railway development in Indonesia, namely National Railway Vision 2030. The high population in Indonesia results in the need for public transportation facilities which are also large due to the high mobility of the people. The construction of the Jakarta MRT is one solution in meeting the needs of public transportation in the capital city of Jakarta as the economic center in Indonesia. National Railway Vision 2030 is Indonesia's national railway development plan, the construction of the Jakarta MRT is one form of implementation in achieving National Railway Vision 2030. Japan provides foreign assistance in the form of development loan funds, goods assistance and technical assistance through the JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency) agency. ). In this study, we will examine the foreign assistance provided by Japan for the construction of the Jakarta MRT and the achievements in the National Railway Vision 2030.
