KARAKTERISTIK PASIEN HIP OSTEONECROSIS YANG DISEBABKAN OLEH TRAUMA DAN NON-TRAUMA DI RSUP DR. MOHAMMAD HOESIN PERIODE 2021-2022
Background: Pelvic pain is a chief complaint that is often found on patients with the condition of hip osteonecrosis. This situation is caused by a variety of trauma and non-trauma factors based on the exposure of local environment and culture. Having knowledge of hip osteonecrosis etiologies, early diagnosis and prevention can be carried out to improve the patient’s quality of life. Therefore, it is essential to understand what can cause hip osteonecrosis. This research aims to determine the characteristics of hip osteonecrosis caused by trauma and non-trauma in RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin period 2021-2022. Method: This study utilized a descriptive research method with a cross-sectional approach. The samples of the research were hospitalized patients with pelvic pain in the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology of RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin that were registered on the medical records and met the inclusion criteria with none of the exclusion criteria. Result: There were 50 patients who met the inclusion criteria in this research. There were 24 patients with hip osteonecrosis due to trauma were found to have the highest proportion in the age group of 19-64 years, male gender, employed, caused by hip dislocation, unilateral location, and done by surgery. There were 26 patients with hip osteonecrosis due to non-trauma were found to have the highest proportion in the age group 19-64 years, male gender, unemployed, caused by long-term corticosteroid use, bilateral location, and done by surgery. Conclusion: Proportion of the number incidence of hip osteonecrosis due to trauma and non-trauma was almost the same where the number of non-trauma incidence was slightly higher than the trauma incidence. In this study, the etiology of hip osteonecrosis due to trauma is dominated by hip dislocation, meanwhile the etiology of hip osteonecrosis due to non-trauma is dominated by long-term corticosteroid use.
