Background: Anxiety is an uncomfortable feeling that is shown through fear, nervousness, and excessive worry about things that have negative consequences. Anxiety disorders affect 25.1% of children between the ages of 13 and 18. Anxiety can be overcome by coping mechanisms which are a thought and behavior mobilized to overcome stress. Memorizing the Qur'an can be applied as a form of coping mechanism in anxiety. This study aims to find out the relationship between the habit of memorizing the Qur'an and the level of anxiety in students. Method: This study is an observational analytical study with a cross-sectional design. The subjects of this study are students of SMP Islam Terpadu Izzuddin Palembang in 2022 who meet the criteria for inclusion and exclusion. The data used is primary data from the Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI) score results and secondary data from student memorization cards. The data were collected using stratified proportional random sampling techniques and then analyzed using the Chi-square test. Results: From 70 sample data, it was found that the highest number of anxiety levels in students was the normal category (37.1%), and the habitual group of often and rarely memorizing the Qur'an had the same number (50%). The characteristics of the study subjects were the most obtained by the age of 13 years (64.3%), and the most gender was male (51.4%). The bivariate test showed a non-significant relationship between the habit of memorizing the Qur'an and the level of anxiety in students (p=0.138). Conclusion: There is a non-significant relationship between the habit of memorizing the Qur'an and the level of anxiety of students.
