POLA ASUH ORANG TUA PADA ANAK KURANG BERPRESTASI DI SMAN 01 BELITANG II KABUPATEN OGAN KOMERING ULU TIMUR
Parenting patterns is the entire interaction of parents and children, where parents provide encouragement for children by changing behavior, knowledge, and values that are considered appropriate for parents so that children can be independent, grow and develop healthily and optimally, have self-confidence, have high curiosity, are friendly, and are oriented to success. The problems in this study are in the form of types of parenting patterns applied to underachieving children at SMAN 01 Belitang II and underlying factors parenting patterns in underachieving children at SMAN 01 Belitang II. The purpose of this study is to describe parental parenting patterns in underachieving children at SMAN 01 belitang II. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a research strategy in the form of a case study. Data collection was obtained through observation, in-depth interviews with 3 key informants, 19 principal informants, and 10 supporting informants, documentation, and literature studies, then analyzed using Baumrind's parenting theory. The results showed that the type of parental parenting applied to underachieving children at SMAN 01 Belitang II was a democratic (authoritative), authoritarian (authoritarian), and neglectful parenting style. Where democratic parenting is more dominantly applied to underachieving children at SMAN 01 Belitang II. Factors that influence parental parenting in underachieving children at SMAN 01 Belitang II include: 1) economic conditions, 2) social environment, and 3) childhood care.
