KERJASAMA MARITIM INDONESIA DAN KOREA SELATAN DALAM MARINE TECHNOLOGY COOPERATION RESEARCH CENTER(MTCRC)
Indonesia is the largest archipelagic country rich in marine natural resources. To manage this optimally, Indonesia needs to cooperate with other countries. This study discusses maritime cooperation between Indonesia and South Korea which was pioneered by the Marine Technology Cooperation Research Center. MTCRC is a research center institution between the Indonesian and South Korean governments in the field of marine science and technology which is operated jointly by the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) and the Korea Institute of Ocean Science and Technology (KIOST). This study aims to explore how the implementation of maritime cooperation between Indonesia and South Korea in the Marine Technology Cooperation Research Center (MTCRC). The research method used is a qualitative-descriptive approach and uses primary and secondary data sources. Techniques in data collection through field studies and literature studies. This research is examined using the theory of international cooperation and institutional liberalism. The results of this study indicate that the cooperation carried out by Indonesia and South Korea in the field of marine science and technology works properly through programs that have been compiled and implemented by the Marine Technology Cooperation Research Center.
