UPAYA PT.TIMAH TBK DALAM MENINGKATKAN COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE PRODUK TIMAH DI PASAR GLOBAL
The development of the automotive and electronic industries in developed countries such as Japan, America, China and major countries in the European region that need tin supply to run their industries is an opportunity for tin companies, especially the largest tin company in Indonesia, namely PT Timah Tbk. Considering the large global market demand for tin which results in competition in tin companies. This study aims to explain how the company's efforts to face business competition amid the high demand for tin in the world which will be reviewed through Michel Porter's theory, namely competitive advantage to see what kind of efforts PT Timah Tbk makes in increasing competitive advantage or competitive advantage in tin products in the global market. This research uses a qualitative approach using analytical descriptive methods. By using premiere and sekunder data obtained through interviews and documentation obtained from the company PT Timah Tbk as well as literature from various relevant sources. The results of this study show that the efforts carried out by PT Timah Tbk in increasing the competitive advantage of competitive advantage are considered successful because they are able to overcome the problem of tin reserves to be able to enter a wider market segmentation, and can compete with other world-class companies.
