PERSEPSI MASYARAKAT TERHADAP PELAYANAN DOKTER GIGI SELAMA PANDEMI COVID-19 DI RSUP DR. MOHAMMAD HOESIN PALEMBANG
Background: Perception is one of the predisposing factors related to health problems, behavior, and the implementation of health programs. The use of rotary instruments during dental treatment can generate aerosols which have the potential to be a source of transmission of Covid-19. This study aims to determine community perceptions based on sociodemography (age, gender, education and occupation) of dentist services during the Covid-19 pandemic at RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang. Method: Observational descriptive study on 100 respondents with a 10-point questionnaire for the period September-October 2022. Results: 80% of respondents had a good perception of dentist services during the Covid-19 pandemic at RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Hospital Palembang. Most respondents were aged 17-25 years (30%), female (61%), high school educated (40%), and self-employed/public employee (31%). Conclusion: Most of the respondents had a good perception of dentist services during the Covid-19 pandemic at RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang, there are 80% of respondents.
