FAKTOR YANG BERPENGARUH TERHADAP TINGKAT STRES PADA PESERTA DIDIK SPESIALIS ANESTESIOLOGI DAN TERAPI INTENSIF
Introduction: Stress is a non-specific response in the body to deal with demands. A research in Finland shows that 68% of anesthesiology and intensive therapy residents experienced stress due to the workload they have faced. For a doctor, excessive amount of stress can have negative impacts such as physical and psychological instability in treating patients safely. This research was conducted to determine the level of stress in Anesthesiology and Intensive Therapy Residents and the factors affecting it. Measurement of stress level will be using the PSS-10 questionnaire. Methods: This research is a analytic study with cross sectional approach. Method used to collect samples is total sampling on Anesthesiology and Therapy Residents of Faculty of Medicine, Sriwijaya University. Data used was primary data in the form of online questionnaire (google form) that were answered by residents that meet the inclusion criteria. Data collected were analyzed using descriptive analysis and multinomial logistic regression analysis. Results: From 54 Anesthesiology and Therapy Residents of Faculty of Medicine, Sriwijaya University (respondents) that meet inclusion criteria, 18 people (33,3%) considered to have low stress, 31 people (57,4%) have moderate stress and 5 people (9,3%) have high perceived stress. Respondents that participated in this study were dominated by man (72,2%). Most of the respondents have these characteristics such as amount of sleep < 6 hours (67%), habit of exercising once a week (53,7%), hours spent in hospital on the last week that were below average is 43,78 (68,5%), nights shifts for 3 times a week (51,9%) and had a history of being infected with COVID-19 (88,9%). The social relationship between respondents who had a good and very good relationship with the head of division were 46 people (85,2%), with head of KPS were 48 people (88,8%), and head of KSM were 48 people (88,8%). The relationship between respondents and other were dominated also by good and very good relationship, namely with lecturers were 48 people (88,8%), with staffs were 50 people (92,5%) and with fellow students were 42 people (77,7%). Multivariate analysis with logistic regression showed that there was a significant effect between amount of sleep < 6 hours (p-value = 0,025) with moderate stress level. Conclusion: Amount of sleep has a significant effect towards moderate stress level on Anesthesiology and Therapy Residents of Faculty of Medicine, Sriwijaya University.
