This research is entitled "Socio-Economic Dynamics of the Tidal Swamp Community during the Covid 19 Pandemic in Karang Baru Village, Dusun 5, Sumber Marga Telang District, Banyuasin Regency". The purpose of this study is to analyze the socio-economic conditions of the tidal swamp community in Karang Baru Village, Dusun 5. Analyze and find out what socio-economic problems are experienced by the tidal swamp community during the covid 19 pandemic. tidal swamp during the covid 19 pandemic in Karang Baru Village, Dusun 5. In this study, Tallcott Parson's Cybernetic Theory was used. The method used is descriptive research method using a qualitative approach. Determination of informants using purposive technique, informants in this study amounted to 13 people consisting of one (1) key informant, eight (8) as informants, and four (4) informants supporting informants. Types and sources of data that have been obtained through secondary data and primary data with data collection techniques by means of in-depth interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the condition of the tidal swamp community in Karang Baru Village, Dusun 5 prior to the covid 19 pandemic, had good interactions between people, had local wisdom and had four (4) livelihoods, namely farmers, farm laborers, boat drivers. and songket tailors. As well as the problems experienced by the socio-economic community during the COVID-19 pandemic, people became careless and afraid of the dynamics that were felt to be classified as medium, many changes were felt in their economy. Then the prevention carried out by the people of Karang Baru Village, Dusun 5, is by vaccination, opening their own business, borrowing money, implementing Health protocols.
