The study is tutled The Role of Instagram Social Media @Promopalembang As The Formation of Consumptive Behavior of Society Reviewed by Jean Baudrillard. The study aims to find out the role of @Promopalembang Instagram accounts in shaping society's consumptive behavior reviewed by Jean Baudrillard. This study used Jean Baudrillard's theory of Consumptive societies using use values and Mark values. The method used in this study is a qualitative method, where in-depth interviews with 5 informants have been selected based on predetermined ceritera that have consumptive behavior that palling close to the research theme. Then the data collection conducted in this study used in-depth interview techniques, documentation, and observations. From this study obtained the results that Instagram accounts @Promopalembang have an influence on the formation of consumptive behavior of the community. This can be seken from the data collected by researchers, this consumptive behavior is supported by the existence of Instagram social media @Promopalembang as a platform in spreading information related to promotion.
