Forward head posture (FHP) is a posture disorder in which the head is pointed forward in the sagittal plane away from the vertical line of the shoulders, characterized by not aligning the head with the shoulders. FHP greatly affects human life which in the long term can cause chronic neck pain, muscle tension disorders, and also affect daily activities. This study aims to determine the determinants of forward head posture complaints in nursing students during online lectures during the covid-19 pandemic. This study is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional design and multiple logistic regression. Data collection techniques with online questionnaires. The research sample was 87 respondents. The results showed that there was a relationship between the variables of duration (p-value 0.003), behavioral repetition intensity (p-value 0.001), body posture (p-value 0.003) and there was no relationship between the variables gender (p-value 1.0). and medical history (p-value 0). Based on the results of multiple logistic regression, it shows that the behavioral repetition intensity factor (Exp-B 2,966) is a determinant factor associated with complaints of forward head posture. It is necessary to provide information regarding the correct use of laptops and smartphones and the impact of their use on students so that later they can minimize complaints of forward head posture due to the use of laptops and smartphones.
