STRATEGI BUYER-DRIVEN COMMODITY CHAIN (BDCC) OLEH CV. NATURAL SEBAGAI OVERSEAS FACTORY DARI THE NATURAL CARPET COMPANY DALAM PERSAINGAN PERDAGANGAN INTERNASIONAL
Global Value Chain is a term to describe process of goods and service’s production. Meanwhile Global Commodity Chain is a term to define several actors which are involved in GVC process. This research is focusing on CV. Natural as Small Medium Enterprise (SME) involved in GVC and have to survive by using a Buyer Driven Commodity Chain (BDCC) strategy and bound in a kind of relation between actor namely Relational Rents, even though made a dependence condition with brand marketer which is The Natural Carpet Company that is giving up a task on functional upgrading. This research using a qualitative method along with primary data by doing a field research, observation, and interview in CV. Natural which is conducted by researcher. Then, the result of this research indicate that CV Natural will have a possibility for being abandoned by The Natural Carpet Company, if still in the low stage of production also lack of ability in functional upgrading. Therefore, CV Natural along with government must being coorperated in order to avoid this negative impact whom labours would be the most vulnerable in this case.
