EFEK NEFROTOKSIK ASAM FOLAT TERHADAP TIKUS WISTAR.
There is less scientific research about effect of inducing high doses of folic acid on the kidneys of wistar rats and research on creating animal models of kidney fibrosis. The purpose of this study was to determine the nephrotoxic effect that leads to kidney fibrosis in the induction of high doses of folic acid in wistar rats. In vivo experimental research was carried out in September-October 2022 at the Animal Cage of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Sriwijaya and the Palembang Health Laboratory Center. There are 4 treatment groups namely placebo (NaCl 0,9%), 100 mg/kgBW of KIAF I, 125 mg/kgBW of KIAF II, and 250 mg/kgBW of KIAF III single dose intraperitoneally of 8 wistar rats in each group. Data analysis with Paired T test, Independent T test, and PostHoc test is conductedon the SPSS Statistics 26 application. Rat body weight (p=0,099) has homogeneous data. Creatinine levels (p=0,119) and urea levels (p=0,948) were homogeneous and normally distributed (p>0,05). KIAF I (p=0,010), KIAF II (p=0,000), and KIAF III (p=0,005) were effective in increasing the average creatinine level on day 0 and 14. KIAF II (p=0,032) had a significant difference compared to placebo. There was no group which was the optimal dose in increasing creatinine levels (p>0,05). KIAF II (p=0,036) effectively increased the average urea level on days 0 and 14. KIAF II (p=0,005) had a significant difference compared to placebo. KIAF II (p=0,002) became the optimal dose in increasing urea levels. KIAF II (p=0,002) was the optimal dose for increasing urea levels, but not for creatinine levels which led to kidney fibrosis in wistar rats.
