PREVALENSI PASIEN BASAL CELL CARCINOMA PADA MATA DI RSUP DR. MOHAMMAD HOESIN PALEMBANG TAHUN 2019-2021.
Basal cell carcinoma (BCC) was the most common tumor in humans. Environmental and geographic factors played important roles in the occurrence and prevalence of basal cell carcinoma (BCC). Metastatic occurrence was rare, but eyelid BCC carried a high risk of recurrence. The gold standard for BCC diagnosis was histopathology. This study aimed to determine the number of patients with basal cell carcinoma on the eyes at General Hospital Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang in 2019-2021. This research used a descriptive research with secondary data obtained from the Medical Record Installation for the period 1 January 2019 to 31 December 2021 which met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data was processed using the IBM SPSS Statistics program version 25. Prevalence of BCC in the eye at RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang in 2019-2021 is 28.44% with the most cases occurring in 2021, namely 41.9%. Sociodemographic characteristics of patients based on the age of the majority were > 50 years old (83.9%), more were female (54.8%), the most jobs were farmers (32.3%), most had basic education (64, 5%). The most common site was on the lower lid (77.4%) with the majority having solitary lesions (96.8%). The most common histopathological type was nodular (96.8%). Prevalence of BCC in the eye at RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang in 2019-2021 is 28.44% with the most cases occurring in 2021. The characteristics of the sociodemographic status of the most patients being women and aged more than 50 years, working as farmers, and most of the research subjects had basic education (elementary school/equivalent). Most common site on the lower lid with solitary lesions. The most common histopastology type was the nodular type.
