This research is entitled “Empatic Carer Comunication in Serving Children at the Budi Mulia Orphanage, Lahat Regency, South Sumatera”. With the aim to be achieved in this study, namely to find out how the Empathic Communication of Caregivers in Serving Children at the Budi Mulia Orphanage, Lahat Regency, South Sumatera. This study uses a qualitative method with descriptive techniques with the theory of Empathy from Batson and Coke which says that emphaty is an emotional state that is owned by someone with what is felt by others through aspects of warmth, tenderness, care and pity. The data in this study were obtained from primary and secondary data as well as the results of in-depth interviews and observations carried out on informants at the Budi Mulia Orphanage. Based on the results of the research, the empathic communication of caregivers in serving children in the Budi Mulia Orphanage cannot be separated in daily life because emphatic communication by caregivers to foster children has a positive impact on foster children as avidenced by foster children who have started to be able to adapt to their environment, have a caring attitude towards each other and do not be lazy in learning and doing useful things in their lives.
