GAMBARAN KUALITAS HIDUP PADA LANSIA DENGAN INKONTINENSIA URINE TIPE TEKANAN DI POSYANDU LANSIA PUSKESMAS DEMPO PALEMBANG.
Background. Urinary incontinence is an inability of person to control micturition. Urinary incontinence is a common health problem that is often found in elderly, especially in women. The most common of urinary incontinence in women is the stress urinary incontinence that occurs due to increased intra-abdominal pressure. Urinary incontinence is not a life–threatening condition. However, this condition can lead to a negative effect on quality of life of elderly. This study aims to provide an overview of the quality of life of elderly women with stress urinary incontinence. Method. This descriptive observational study used primary data from interviewing elderly woman at Posyandu Lansia Dempo Health Center Palembang between October 4, and November 18, 2022, who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Results. Elderly women with stress urinary incontinence in this study had sociodemographic characteristics of young–elderly age (60–69 years) (70%), last education was Primary School (47.5%), married (57.5%), and normal BMI (53.8%). Based on gynecological characteristics, parity ≥ 2 parity (81.3%), vaginal delivery (75%), and had menopause (100%). Based on the quality of life, it is found that elderly women with stress urinary incontinence has moderate quality of life (82.5%) and moderate outcomes in all domains of quality of life, which are physical health (46.3%), psychology (62.5%), social relation (53.7%), and the environment (62.5%). Conclusion. Elderly women with stress urinary incontinence at Posyandu Lansia Dempo Health Center Palembang has a moderate quality of life and moderate outcomes on quality of life domains physical health, psychology, social relations, and environment
