HUBUNGAN FAKTOR SANITASI RUMAH TANGGA DENGAN KEJADIAN DIARE DI AREA RAWA PROVINSI SUMATERA SELATAN.
Introduction: Diarrhea is still a major problem in developing countries such as Indonesia. Based on data from the Ministry of Health in 2017, the diarrhea morbidity rate in Indonesia for all ages is 120-360 per 1000 population ( 12 %-36%) . This research is expected to prove the relationship between diarrhea with living environment and sanitation. Methods: This research is a cross sectional study with a sample of 30 houses. Sampling using random cluster sampling technique. The data was then processed and analyzed using univariate and bivariate analysis (Pearson Test). Results: From 30 respondents, 18 (60%) respondents had diarrhea in the last 1 year and 12 (40%) respondents had never had diarrhea in the last 1 year. There is no relationship between diarrhea and sanitation behavior (p-value 1,000), clean water supply (p-value 0.503), latrine conditions (p-value 0.284), provision of garbage boxes (p-value 0.503), and variable sewerage. with an unreadable p-value. Conclusion: There is no correlation between household sanitation factors and the incidence of diarrhea in the swamp area of South Sumatra Province.
