UJI AKTIVITAS HEPATOPROTEKTOR EKSTRAK ETANOL KULIT BATANG CEMPEDAK (Artocarpus champeden) DAN HISTOPATOLOGI HEPAR TERHADAP TIKUS PUTIH JANTAN GALUR WISTAR TERINDUKSI CCl4
Cempedak bark (Artocarpus champeden) contains several secondary metabolites which are thought to be effective as hepathoprotectors. This research is conducted to gather the knowledge about cempedak bark ethanol extract activity as hepathoprotector using SGOT and SGPT concentration also from Wistar-hereditary male white mice. Mice are divided into six groups that are normal control, positive group, negative group, dosage test group 250 mg/kgBW, 500 mg/kgBW, and 1000 mg/kgBW. SGOT and SGPT levels were measured using the enzymatic method. The average result of SGOT concentrations for the normal group is 185.32 U/L; positive group is 235.63 U/L; negative group is 377.49 U/L and other dosage testing groups respectively 309.84 U/L; 284.62 U/L and 258.62 U/L. As for SGPT concentration, the normal group is 82,91 U/L; positive group is 98.96 U/L; negative group is 398,93 U/L and other dosage testing groups respectively 248.38 U/L; 177.44 U/L and 126.30 U/L. According to post hoc analysis, positive group with testing group III yielded no significant differences (p>0.05). This showed that bark cempedak ethanol extract has the activity for hepathoprotector. According to the relationship between hepathoprotector effect percentage against dosage, ED50 value of cempedak bark ethanol extract is 244.18 mg/kgBW.
