PERBANDINGAN SIMPANAN KARBON PADA KAWASAN MANGROVE REHABILITASI DAN ALAMI DI HUTAN LINDUNG AIR TELANG BANYUASIN SUMATERA SELATAN
Mangrove forest have high carbon absorption efficiency and shows decline in Indonesia. Carbon stock observation of mangrove forest need to be done as a basis for mangrove forest management. This research was conducted in August 2021 until July 2022 on Air Telang Protected Fores, Banyuasin, South Sumatera and aims to calculate and compare carbon stock of rehabilitated and natural mangrove plants as a basis of mangrove forest management. This research use a survey method, which calculate carbon stock from different pools which are : tree carbon pool, low plants carbon pool and soil carbon pool. Carbon stock calculation method used is based on SNI 7724:2011. Results shows that the average carbon stock for rehabilitated mangrove plants is 191,24 ton/ha and 194,28 ton/ha for the natural, with highest carbon stock is found on station B which is a rehabilitated mangrove plantation. Important value index have a significant relationship with carbon stock (p0,05).
