PENGARUH PERLAKUAN PANAS T6 PADA ALUMUNIUM PADUAN 7075 TERHADAP KETAHANAN LELAH MATERIAL
Aluminum alloy 7075 is aluminum which has the main composition of Al, Zn, Mg, Cu, and a small part plus other metals. To increase the ability of the material to withstand fatigue loads, heat treatment is carried out. The heat treatment carried out is T6 heat treatment which goes through 3 processes, namely Solution Heat Treatment, Quenching and Artificial Aging. The heat treatment solution carried out at 450 °C was held for 2 hours, then quenched (quick cooling) using air, after being left at room temperature for 24 hours, then artificial aging was carried out at 175 °C with variations of time removed 1 hour, 3 jams. and 5 hours. Then a tensile test was carried out to determine the value of the shear stress and a fatigue test to determine the fatigue resistance of the material, both heat treatment and no treatment were given, as well as visual observations to observe the initial fracture that occurred in the material. From the research that has been carried out, several conclusions are obtained, namely the greater the torsional angle received by the test specimen, the smaller the fatigue strength, the fatigue strength of AA 7075 decreases when heat treated.
