KETAHANAN LELAH BAJA KONSTRUKSI PEGAS DAUN DENGAN PEMBEBANAN REPEATED TORSION.
This study discusses the fatigue resistance of leaf spring construction steel with repeated torsion loading. In this test, the leaf spring steel is stressed repeatedly in order to get the required results. The study was conducted using a fatigue test tool with the repeated torsion method. The material being analyzed is leaf spring steel. The test was carried out using 5 variations of different loading angles, namely 1o, 2o, 3o, 4o and 5o. From the results of fatigue testing specimens of leaf spring steel with a loading angle of 1o produce a stress of 119 MPa, Cycle 1929800 in 38596 seconds At a loading angle of 2o, it produces a voltage of 238 MPa, Cycle 1463900 in 29278 seconds. At 3 o loading angle produces 364 MPa of stress, 936150 cycle in 18723 seconds. At a loading angle of 4o produces a voltage of 483 MPa, 510850 cycle in 10217 seconds. At a loading angle of 5o it produces a voltage of 609 MPa, 325700 cycles in 6514 seconds. At an angle of 5 o with normalizing heat treatment produces a voltage of 609 MPa, 112150 cycle in 2243 seconds. Then the greater the angle of loading given to the specimen, the faster the specimen will fail to fatigue. The normalizing heat treatment process also affects the fatigue resistance of the material where when the specimen is subjected to normalizing heat treatment, the specimen experiences fatigue failure faster than the specimen without treatment.
