STUDI PERFORMANSI PLTP LUMUT BALAI PADA KONDISI OFF-DESIGN MENGGUNAKAN ANALISIS EKSERGI.
This study examines and evaluates the performance of the Lumut Balai Muara Enim Geothermal Power Plant which operates in both design and off-design conditions. The method used in analyzing the thermodynamic performance is exergy analysis to show the rate of losses exergy either as a whole system or per component. The technology used by Lumut Balai Geothermal Power Plant to extract geothermal exergy is the Single-Flash System. The components analyzed include separator, steam turbine, condenser and pump. Based on the results of exergy analysis in various conditions, obtained in the form of rate of losses exergy data and exergy efficiency both on each component and on the system as a whole. The conclusion is that, based on the results of the analysis, it is also found that the component that has the highest exergy destruction rate in each condition is a steam turbine with 14.44 MW or 17.5% of the exergy that enters the steam turbine at design conditions up to 6.04 MW or 19.7% of the exergy that goes into the steam turbine. into the steam turbine at minimum conditions. Then, the component that has the smallest destruction exergy rate in each condition is the Hot Water Pump of 0.24 MW. The results of the analysis show that the largest exergy efficiency is at the generator operating at design conditions, which is 42.07% and the smallest exergy efficiency is at minimum load conditions, which is 10.52%. Thus it can be concluded that the further the load percentage from the design conditions, the greater the rate of exergy loss or the greater the decrease in exergy efficiency.
