KAJIAN INDEKS RISIKO LINGKUNGAN TEMPAT PEMROSESAN AKHIR (TPA) SAMPAH SIMPANG GEGAS
Garbage is one of the biggest problems in Indonesia. Waste that is disposed of to the final processing site (TPA) and then left alone without proper and proper processing will have a negative impact on the environment. Landfills in Indonesia still use an open dumping system, this system does not pay attention to environmental protection aspects. Under these circumstances, it is necessary to evaluate the Simpang Gegas Final Processing Site (TPA) through an environmental risk index assessment or Integrated Risk Based Approach (IRBA). The IRBA method has 27 parameters to be analyzed, which are divided into 3 categories, namely location criteria (20 parameters), waste characteristics (4 parameters) and leachate characteristics (3 parameters). In the calculation there is a sensitivity index with a range of 0 to 1, where a value of 0 indicates the lowest hazard potential and a value of 1 indicates the highest hazard potential. The higher the sensitivity index, the higher the evaluation of the hazard level which must then be followed up, either rehabilitating or closing the landfill. At the Simpang Gegas TPA, Musi Rawas Regency the risk index shows the number 516.64 - 535.64. Simpang Gegas TPA is included in the category of medium level hazard evaluation.
