INVENTARISASI EMISI GAS RUMAH KACA SEKTOR SAMPAH DI KABUPATEN MUSI RAWAS
Garbage is currently a very serious problem in the community because every day there will be waste that is produced, then some of this waste is treated properly and some is not. This research focuses on the inventory of greenhouse gases produced from the waste sector in Musi Rawas Regency. By using the method from IPCC 2006 to assist in the analysis of the estimation of greenhouse gases produced from waste. Garbage can produce flue gas in the form of CH4, CO2, and N2O with each depending on how the waste is processed. There are three types of waste processing that are reviewed in this study, namely landfilling activities at the laystall in Simpang Gegas, composting waste, and burning waste openly by the community. In this calculation, it takes other data supporting such as data on waste heap, population, waste composition, amount of composted waste, and the fraction of people who burn waste as well as various default figures or correction factors sourced from IPCC 2006. In the last 2020, the greenhouse gas emissions produced are based on calculations in the form of 3,949 tons of CO2e from CH4 due to landfill activities; 9.2 tons of CO2e from CH4 generated from biological waste treatment; 6.53 tons of CO2e from N20 produced from biological waste treatment; 12,477 tons of CO2e from CO2 produced from open burning of waste; 5,802 CO2e from CH4 generated from open burning of waste; 1,267 CO2e from N2O produced from open burning of waste.
