STUDI KARAKTERISTIK CAMPURAN ASPAL MINYAK, ASPAL BUTON DAN ASPAL KARET PADA LAPISAN AC-WC UNTUK CAMPURAN ASPAL HANGAT
In Indonesia, there are still many uses of hot mix asphalt. However, hot mix asphalt requires a large amount of fuel during the heating process so that the production of CO₂ becomes high, and has an adverse impact on the environment. The need for innovation of environmentally friendly asphalt mixtures so as to reduce global warming. Reduction of CO₂ production and energy savings can be achieved by using warm asphalt mixtures. Warm mix asphalt can be treated with lower temperatures but with the same quality and quality asphalt as Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA). This research method is a direct test in the laboratory using three types of asphalt, namely 60/70ex-rabana penetration oil asphalt, latex modified rubber asphalt and JBMA-50 buton asphalt as well as using wax and zeolite additives with the use of 1% wax additives by weight of asphalt and 1% zeolite from aggregates to lower the asphalt temperature. This study uses a mixture of warm asphalt on the AC-WC layer with the Marshall characteristic test method. The purpose of the Marshall test is to determine the optimum parameter values and asphalt content. From this value, it can be analyzed and calculated the optimum asphalt content by referring to the general specifications of Bina Marga in 2018 revision 2. As for the results of the research on the characteristics of the Marshall test, the most little use KAO is rubber asphalt with a mixture of 6.28% zeolite. The highest MQ value is rubber-waxed asphalt with a value of 366.14 kg/mm, this means that the asphalt-rubber-wax mixture is the stiffest among the other five mixtures. The highest VFA value was Buton-wax asphalt with a value of 72.47%. This means that the buton-waxed asphalt can fill the voids so that the viscosity of this mixture is the best.
