Home garden is a plot of land located around the house where you live with clear boundaries, planted with one or various types of plants and has an ownership relationship with the house in question. The composition of garden plants differs from one place to another. This can be influenced by one of the edaphic factors such as soil conditions, water content and air. Sidomulyo Village is a village located in Air Kumbang Subdistrict, Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra, which has an area of 2.757,28 ha including dry land with the majority of people working as farmers who generally use paddy fields and yards as a source of income. This research was conducted from December 2021 to February 2022 in Sidomulyo Village, Air Kumbang District, Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra encompassed 4 hamlets. This research used the quantitative research by conducting the directly observation to the research site. The stratified systematic sampling method was used in setting sampling plots into, 4 hamlets with, intervals 3 houses. Data were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively by identifying species and habitus types, and analysing vegetation structure including density, frequency, dominance, and important value index. Importance Value Index (INP), Shannon-Wiener Diversity Index and Dominance Index. Based on research, it found out that the composition of in the garden plants in Sidomulyo Village, Air Kumbang District, Banyasin Regency, South Sumatra consisted of 61 families and 118 species with the highest Importance Value Index at the ple level is namely Carica papaya L. with a value 65,45%, a species diversity index. 4.22 and dominance indekx 0,04.
