Public transportation is currently less attractive to the public as a mode of transportation in helping their mobility. They tend to use private vehicles because they can reach their destination faster without having to change modes. This results in increased traffic congestion. The city of Palembang itself made changes by holding a movement back to public transportation, by presenting Teman Bus as the preferred mode of transportation. However, the lack of information about Teman Bus public transportation makes the public not yet aware of the quality of performance and various service features provided. This study aims to evaluate the performance of Teman Bus public transportation services in the city of Palembang, especially corridor 1 route Alang Alang Lebar - Dempo Terminal based on the level of user satisfaction so that Teman Bus can be the preferred mode of transportation for the people of Palembang City. In evaluating the service performance of Teman Bus corridor 1, three reference standards are used, namely PM Number 83 of 2021, PM Number 10 of 2012, and the decision of the Director General of Land Transportation, 2002. To assess public perception of the level of Teman Bus service, Importance Performance Analysis is used. The results of the performance analysis based on the services of the Teman Bus corridor 1 operator include a poor rating category for operational load factor, headway time, and travel time, while the speed category gets a good rating because it meets the standards. The results on the level of user satisfaction from the five servqual dimensions of 39 sub-parameters, some of which have met user satisfaction for example such as comfortable seats, security in the vehicle with the presence of CCTV, and several sub-parameters that are considered unsatisfactory in service, for example in the security system in the bus stop, lighting system at the bus stop, punctuality of arrival and departure of Teman Bus.
