PT. Astaka Dodol is a coal mining company that performs coal mining activities using an Open Pit and a series of mechanical equipment. Coal mining activities are carried out using an open pit (Open Pit) using conventional methods, namely a combination of excavator backhoe and dump truck. The consequence of this activity will be a large basin that causes water to easily enter the basin which can hinder mining activities. Coal mining activities in Pit A2 will expand to 1,050,000 m2 with a catchment area of 1,190,000 m2 so that there will be an increase in the volume of water entering the mining area. To support this, it is necessary to support good working conditions, one of which is a drainage system in the mining area. The drainage system is an attempt to prevent the entry of water or to remove water that has entered the mining area which can interfere with mining activities.
