STRUKTUR KOMUNITAS DAN BIODIVERSITAS MANGROVE DI KECAMATAN MARGA PUNDUH KABUPATEN PESAWARAN PROVINSI LAMPUNG
Mangroves is a type of vegetation that can be found in tropical coastal areas, which have ecological and economic functions. Mangrove ecosystems have function as buffer areas, induce land expansion, and protect coastlines from abrasion. Human activities affect the existence of mangroves and the survival of mangrove communities. This study aims to determine the structure of the mangrove community and also determine the level of mangrove biodiversity. The research was carried out from July 2021 to January 2022 in the Mangrove area in Marga Punduh District, Pesawaran Regency, Lampung Province. Measurement of the structure of the mangrove community by making plot stations and making quadrant transects at the specified location points. The results of the study found that there were 4 types of mangroves, namely Avicennia marina, Rhizophora apiculata, Rhizophora stylosa and Sonneratia Alba. The average value of mangrove density at the tree level is 1441.67 Ind/ha while at the tiller level it is 1616.67 Ind/ha. The highest (INP) tree and tiller level was at station 3, namely Rhizophora stylosa with a value of (263.04) and tiller (172.62), while the lowest (INP) tree and tiller level was at station 3, namely Rhizophora apiculata with a value of value (36.96) and tillers (127.38).
