The waters of the Sungsang estuary are generally used by surrounding community for transportation, fishing, residential activities, and industrial activities so that it will affect the quality and waters one type of gastropod. Gastropods are closely related to changes in water quality so that they can be used as bioindicators. The purpose of this study was to analyze gastropod diversity, assess enviromental quality status based on gastropod diversity and analyze the relationship between C-organic substrate and substrate texture on gastropod diversity in Sungsang estuary, Banyuasin. Sampling was carried out ini october-november 2021. The types of gastropods obtained were 4 types, namely Nerita argus, Nassarius praematuratus, Nassarius mendicus, Nassarius haldemani.
