PENGOPTIMALAN LOKASI TEMPAT PEMBUANGAN SEMENTARA SAMPAH DENGAN MODEL SET COVERING PROBLEM DAN ALGORITMA ANT COLONY OPTIMIZATION DI KECAMATAN ILIR BARAT I
The problem of waste in Ilir Barat I district arises due to the large number of residents who lived there. The large population is the cause of the increasing volume of waste generated. Temporary waste disposal sites is one of the government's efforts in overcoming the waste problem. Therefore, this study aims to determine the location of the optimal temporary waste disposal sites in Ilir Barat I district by formulating the Set Covering Problem (SCP) model including the Set Covering Location Problem (SCLP) and p-Center Location Problem as well as the implementation of the Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) algorithm. Ilir Barat I district has 27 temporary waste disposal sites spread over 6 villages. The results of the SCP model and the ACO algorithm obtained 15 optimal locations in Ilir Barat I district. Based on the results obtained, this study recommends the ACO algorithm in determining the optimal location. It is because the solution from the ACO algorithm can fulfill all demand points in Ilir Barat I district.
