PENGARUH VARIASI DEBIT ALIRAN DAN TINGGI STOPLOG TERHADAP GERUSAN SALURAN
The use of a stoplog as a structure for regulating the water level in the canal actually causes problems downstream of the stoplog, namely the occurrence of scouring. The stoplog, which is built across the irrigation canal, causes a difference in water level upstream and downstream of the stoplog, resulting in a hydraulic jump. This hydraulic jump causes scouring downstream of the stoplog. Therefore, it is necessary to research how much scour occurs downstream of the stoplog. This research was conducted at the Fluid Mechanics and Hydraulics Laboratory of Sriwijaya University using a hydraulic physical model test. This study aims to analyze the number of scouring that occurs downstream of the stoplog due to variations in stoplog height and variations in flow discharge using an empirical formula. The results from observations of scouring depth in the laboratory were compared with calculations using the Eggenberger et Muller equation, Kotoulas equation, and Mason et Arumugam equation. From the results of measurements in the laboratory, it can be seen that the variation of flow discharge Q1 = 0.0048 m3/s; Q2 = 0.0062 m3/s; Q3 = 0.0086 m3/s; and Q4 = 0.0117 m3/s. Variations of this flow rate will be used for each stoplog height variation, namely 3 cm, 6 cm, and 9 cm.
