OPTIMASI DAN KARAKTERISASI FITOSOM FRAKSI ETIL ASETAT EKSTRAK KULIT BUAH MANGGIS (Garcinia Mangostana L.) DENGAN VARIASI KONSENTRASI PHOSPHOLIPON 90G DAN KOLESTEROL
The mangosteen rind (Garcinia mangostana L.) contains xanthone derivative compounds including alpha mangosteen which acts as an antityrosinase. A delivery system such as phytosomes can be added to increase the active substance's penetration. The study aimed to determine the optimum formula for phytosomes with variations in phospholipone 90G and cholesterol. Phytosomes were made using the thin layer hydration method with a ratio of phopholipone 90G and cholesterol concentrations (2:0,2; 1:0,4; 1:0,2; 2:0,4). The optimum formula was determined by a factorial design of 22 using Design-Expert 12® on the response of adsorption efficiency, decrease in adsorption efficiency, and decrease in pH after the stability test. The optimum formula obtained was characterized by particle size, PDI (polydispersity index), and zeta potential. The optimum formula was obtained using 2% phopholipon 90G and 0.2% cholesterol with an adsorption efficiency value of 96.895 ± 0.015, a decrease in adsorption efficiency of 0.703 ± 0.020, and a decrease in pH of 0.026 ± 0.004. The results of the characterization of the optimum formula obtained particle size of 391.6 nm, PDI 0.685, and zeta potential -13.9 mV
