FORMULASI TABLET EFFERVESCENT EKSTRAK ETANOL BUNGA TELANG (Clitoria ternatea) DENGAN VARIASI KONSENTRASI ASAM DAN BASA SERTA PENGUJIAN ANTIOKSIDAN DENGAN METODE DPPH
Butterfly pea flower is a tropical plant that is often found and used in Indonesia which has many properties such as antioxidant, antidiabetic, antiobesity, anticancer, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and protects liver tissue. So that made effervescent tablets of ethanol extract of butterfly pea flower with various concentration of acid (citric acid and tartaric acid) and base (sodium bicarbonate). As well as antioxidant testing with the DPPH method on the best of the 4 formulas. The purpose of making butterfly pea flower effervescent tablets with variations in acid and base concentration is to determine the effect of acids and bases on the physical characteristics of tablets and tablet stability. The butterfly pea flower extraction method uses the maceration method with 70% ethanol as a solvent. The results of the extract carried out extract characteristics phytochemical screening and testing for total phenolic levels. The extract yield value was obtained at 40,27%. The production of effervescent tablets was carried out by wet granulation method with various sources of acid and base with concentrations of 55%, 60%, 65%, 70% with ratio of citric acid, tartaric acid and sodium bicarbonate 1:1,1:1,2 based on the calculation of equivalent moles. Total phenolic content obtained was 80 mg GAE/g sample. The tablets were tested for stability with the results of formula 1 being the most stable at 25°C. Of all the formulas made, it produces effervescent tablets with physical properties that meet the requirements with formula 1 being the most stable at room temperature (25°C). Antioxidant test was performed on formula 1 and the IC₅₀ value was 67,16 g/ml and it is classified as powerful antioxidant. Formula I has the potential to be developed as an antiokxidant drink.
