EVALUASI SALURAN PEMBUANG SEKUNDER DESA SUKARAJA KECAMATAN SP PADANG MENGGUNAKAN PROGRAM HEC-RAS
This study aims to overcome the air overflow that occurs in the secondary sewerage channel of Sukaraja Village. Sukaraja village already has two existing secondary sewerage channels, but these channels do not hold the incoming air discharge so overflow occurs which can affect the quality of the rice crop. Therefore, an evaluation of the existing channel need to be carried out. The study begins with the calculation of hydrological analysis, namely flood discharge. The flood discharge was calculated using the HSS Nakayasu method. The flood debits used are 1 year and 5 year debit periods. The flood discharge for the 1-year return period is 1.53 m3/s, while for the 5-year return period is 3.14 m3/s. Calculations are followed by hydraulic analysis. The hydraulic analysis begins with the HEC-RAS analysis to see the overflow condition of the existing channel. Then normalization is carried out based on the 1-year and 5-year discharge periods, resulting in two different channel dimensions. The new dimensions are then tested using HEC-RAS to ensure the channel does not overflow. After calculating with HEC-RAS, it is known that the channel analyzed with a 1-year flood discharge period is still overflowing, but the channel analyzed using a 5-year discharge period does not experience overflow. So it is concluded that the dimensions of the normalized channel are based on calculations using a 5-year discharge period so that the planned channel can work optimally.
